The M461 is a high performance electronics module that is suited to applications requiring a large number of input/outputs. The chassis mounting, sealed metal housing meets defence specifications and IP68 environmental protection standards.
Based on the Freescale MPC5534 32-bit microcontroller, the M461 features 2 CAN interfaces and 53 standard input/output functions via two 40-way connectors. The precision analogue functions include direct support for RTD sensors and thermocouples, while the configurable high current switching outputs support injector, spark and PWM drives.
The M461 features on-board 3-axis gyro and accelerometers to make it particularly suited to active suspension and vehicle stability applications.
Typical applications also include; diesel after-treatment control, transmission control and complex ancillary vehicle functions.
