Pi Shurlok has worked with a broad range of customers in the transportation industry and as a result we have worked with a wide variety of international, industry sector specific and customer specific development processes. These processes have been applied to both safety critical and non-safety critical systems.
This collective experience has taught us that there is nothing standard about standards.
To shorten the time required to become familiar with a particular development process and to quickly meet some of the common process requirements imposed on a project, we make full use of available tools. When standard tools are not available, we have the facility to assist with tool production. Several software modules/utilities are in regular use within our design centres.
We use these proven modules as the basis for developing speacilised tools for customers, however, PixRef is an example of a tool that we have developed into a widely applicable commercial product.
PixRef is a lightweight but powerful tool for project specific automation of traceability checking. Traceability is a requirement of AutomotiveSPICETM, mandated by all the major European OEMs for systems and software development.
